Maison Ë

MAISON Ë is an independent media brand spanning culture, design, travel and contemporary luxury for a narrowly defined HNW and UHNW readership. During a period of expansion, editorial identity, commercial proposition and international relevance had to be developed as one system rather than three separate tasks.
The value gap
A luxury publication cannot create value through print quality alone. Its readers already have access to beautiful objects; what they value is access, context and relevance.
My Role
As Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Global Executive Director, I worked across editorial direction, brand and commercial strategy — connecting what the publication produced with how it was positioned, distributed and commercialised.

The Idea
Treat the publication as a cultural platform rather than a magazine, so that editorial quality, brand relevance and commercial value reinforce each other instead of competing for the same pages.
Outcome
· Editorial formats and issue architecture
· Brand and commercial proposition
· International distribution
· Luxury brand partnerships and cultural collaborations
· Connection of print, events and the wider ecosystem

Facts
· 7 — issues
· 5,000 — copies
· 12 — markets
TASTE ECONOMY LENS
The work was about turning editorial distinction into perceived and commercial value — without letting the commercial layer feel separate from the cultural one.
